1. Monday's DLR for Week 14
2. Students attempted to make Google Doc accounts (per.1)
3. Students began working on paragraph 1 for Expository Essay #2. Period 5 should have been able to complete paragraphs 1 and 2.
4. Teacher discussed students' Misfortune Chart. This chart serves as a baseline for the body of Expository Essay #2.

1. Thursday's DLR for Week 13
2. Students continued to work on text dependent questions from 11/15/17
3. Students worked on their Misfortune Chart in their journals. Basically, they had to give 3 reasons why they think a particular character is guilty for the majority of the misfortune that was caused to the Whites in "The Monkey's Paw". Additionally, they had to cite evidence for each of their reasons.

2. The Big Green Bus reading comprehension
3. Students started on questions 3 and 4 for Text Dependent Question #3 assignment. 3. What is the "horrible fear" that Mr. White experiences on 688? 4. What is Mr. White's "third and last wish"?  Cite evidence to support your answer.
4. Students began reading Section 2 of "The Monkey's Paw" on 685-690.

3. Students continued to work on two text dependent questions from 11/13/17.

1. Monday's DLR for Week 13
2. Students finished Philosophical Chairs Activity #3 discussion.
3. Teacher pointed improper usage of transitions.
4. Students set up first half of Text Dependent Question #3 assignment. Two questions were copied down for this assignment. One, what does Mr. White mean by", If I should hardly think that he'd come tonight? Two, read the last 2 paragraphs of section 1. How does Herbert's attitude toward the paw shift after his experience with the fire?  Cite specific evidence in the text that indicates where the shift occurs.
5. Students read Section 1, pages 682-half of 685, of "The Monkey's Paw".

1. Thursday's DLR for Week 11
2. Teacher modeled some correct and partially incorrect text dependent question and answers.
3. Students read 338 to 342.
4. They answered question #2 for Text Dependent Question Assignment #2. The question is as follows: On the bottom of page 341 to 342, Lemon reveals to Greg the treasure that was hidden under his rags. What was the treasure?  Why was it significant to him?

2. Teacher discussed 4 ways to use a comma.
3. Teacher showed students a quick clip on CNN 10.
4. Teacher discussed parts of the introduction for Expository Essay #1.
5. Students wrote their introduction and handed it in.
6. Students started working on the body of Expository Essay #1.
7. Teacher walked around and inspected an aspect of each students' Expository Essay #1.
