4. Students wrote a persuasive paragraph on whether or not N. Americans were treated unfairly during The Indian Removal Act of 1830. They were responsible for arguing on whether or not their treatment was justified. Students were to persuade me to believe either side, not both.

3. Phone Addiction Paragraph-Are you addicted to your phone? In a 6 to 8 sentence paragraph, explain why you feel you are addicted to your phone. Provide a solution to your addiction.

1. Q.O.D.-Who are some modern day pirates? What do they want? In what way/s are they similar to the pirates of the Barbary Coast during T. Jefferson's time?

1. Q.O.D.-When J.Adams wrote a letter to N.Bonaparte, what was the main thing he wanted? Why? Provide at least 2 reasons. See 165 if need be.
2. Students watched a short clip on The Pirates of Barbary Coast
3. Historical Significance Statement #2- What took place in the Barbary States of North Africa in the late 1700's and early 1800's? How is what happened over 200 years ago related to today? In a 1/3 to 1/2 of a page, show a connection from the past to the present.
4. Students read the Impressment section on page 166. They made a question out of the title. Then, they made 3 or 4 details that goes with the question.
