1. Watch the Friday edition of CNN 10 and fill out the weekly sheet that goes with it. Also, complete the weekly CNN 10 quiz. This is your last week of this.
2.The 54th Massachussets was the first all African American company of men that fought on the side of The North. I like this clip because it shows the men preparing for the battle that would ultimately end most of their lives. Sorry. Spoiler alert if you watch the movie.
I can't emphasize enough how great a film Glory is.
3.Ultimately, more people died of infection during this war than anything else. If you got shot, you didn't want to get worked on by the doctor if you could avoid it. It's interesting to see how far we have come in medical technology.

2. Read 412-413. Make a Venn Diagram. Compare and contrast The South's position on Secession versus the North. With 2-3 items, in bullet form, ideas must be written in each part of the graphic organizer. List reasons why each side either felt that they had the right to break apart from The Union or not. The middle part of the Venn Diagram can be that they both had different opinions on secession.
