4. Students finished watching a short clip on The Atlantic Slave Trade.
5. What If Statement #1 Obj: in a 1/3 to 1/2 of a page, explain how the nation of Africa would have been different if slavery different exist? Would changes have taken place? Yes? No? Why do you feel the way you do? Provide reasons for your position.
6. Obj: Think about what you have learned regarding the Columbian exchange. Create a wallpaper, similar to the one in your phone, that focuses on key ideas from this section.

2. Students read pages 8-9.
3. Students completed Europeans Begin to Explore Questions in their journals. 
1. What the goal of The Crusades? Did they achieve that goal?  2. What motivated Europeans to explore new routes to Asia?
4. Students read pages 10-11.
5. We finished most of The Real Story of the Atlantic Slave Trade

2. Students watched Friday's, 08-16-19, edition of CNN 10.
3. Q.O.D.-Thinking back to 7th Grade, what do you remember about European colonization of the Americas? Was it positive? For who? Negative? Please write 3-4 sentences.

1. Q.O.D.-What do you like least about history? Why? (2-3 sentences)
2. Students finished presenting their Pay It Forward paragraphs. Additionally, the teacher spoke with each student regarding what might have been wrong with their paragraph.
3. Students worked on Vocab. Sentences #1. Basically, students took the vocabulary words on pg. 6 and wrote the definitions of each in their own words.
