Daily Message:
Interviews for next year's Cougar Connected begin today.
Thoughts: Please, please, please, choose and complete a segment of your choice. You can even make one up. I put you in this class next year automatically without an interview and application. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake and I can count on you during this time to continue to support Cougar Connected. :-)
Some of the segments we discussed: (However, please feel free to add your own idea to the mix!)
Example: "Cooking w/ June" June suggested that she make a segment about cooking fun foods.
- COVID-19 Isolation Schedule (Macie and Maya, but DEFINITELY others please!!!)
- Pet Pix (Please send me you pet pictures as well as send this message to your friends.
- This or That: "Marvel vs. Star Wars". Please send me your responses as well as your friends. Please use smartphone camera and not an app. Also remember "wide screen"
- Campus Camera: What is your favorite movie/show on Netflix or Disney +? - Again, Cougar Connected PLEASE send me your responses as well as all your friends.
- Back in the Day Selfies: Continue to send me your toddler and current pictures. Again as well as your friends.

Daily Message:
Happy Monday! Hope everyone is still doing well.
Thoughts:
1) I am also thinking about adding a segment on good movies to watch. These should be movies that we may have not heard about. Not the obvious ones. Like something on Netflix that you may pass right by because you've never heard of it or it didn't really sound interesting. Like "The Boy that Harnessed the Wind". I showed this last year to my classes and they seemed to enjoy it. Another example may be "The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas".
2) AFV or (America's Funny Videos) but for CLMS. We could call it CLMSFV or something else clever.
3) I am still looking for you and your CLMS friends to submit videos (*WIDE version) answering the campus questions for this week. You could also include family members, but you should appear in the video with them. We want to connect them to CLMS. Ex. You film your mom saying "Angels" and you are standing next to her. Students will connect her to you and you to CLMS.
a) Getting more CLMS students to use the link to upload their campus questions video clips and tik toks
4) The show is scheduled (by Mr. Rodriguez) to air this Friday in replacement of his daily message.
5) Additional Announcements (Commercial type)
a) Virtual Cheer Try-Outs
b) Yearbook still for sale ONLY pre-sale yearbooks will be ordered. $40 on SchoolPay.com Also, there is a link on the CLMS website under the "I WANT TO..." tab at the top right corner of the CLMS homepage.
c) Elective Classes interviews to begin next week. The week of April 6th.
d) Back in the Day - The baby selfie edition
e) AFV but CLMS edition. Random funny home videos.

Daily Message:
Good Day Everyone,
It's good to see that some of you got on an assignment and already have it completed. If you are going to use family members, please introduce them and you should also be in the video. At the very least at the beginning and doing a voice over. I created a video for the "Teachers' Corner" segment of Mr. Rodriguez's daily video. Hopefully it will go out tomorrow as I recored date sensitive information. In the video I asked students to submit their video clips and created a place (shared folder) for them to submit. You should also be able to access these videos if you are producing a segment. Also, I will create a folder for us to use to submit your segments.
Hope to see you at 2. I want to record a "Zoom Group Shout-Out" to the school that I will add to my "Teacher" video.
Zoom Meeting for 2pm today. I will email/text out a link as well as post it here before our 2pm Zoom meeting. See you then.

Daily Message:
Good Day Everyone,
It was fun to get to see a lot of you yesterday on our Zoom meeting. I will be having another Zoom meeting today at 2pm. Please let your "class friends" know to make sure they are getting the message. I was hoping to see the emails come in yesterday wanting to create segments for Cougar Connected COVID-19 special edition. We need to spread the word that we want the CLMS students to stay connected and using our show is a great way to accomplish this. We should easily be able to get "Shout-Outs" from people as well as have them answer "Campus Camera" questions. I will be sending out emails throughout the week as well as posting here. Please continue to check your emails and this page for updated information. I understand it totally sucks being stuck in our houses, but I believe it is for the best. However, that does not mean we can't still have some fun. Let's make our show about staying connected and bringing our CLMS community closer together.
I am shooting for a 2pm Zoom meeting today. I think we can have a few minutes of "fun" discussions, but then I am going to ask you to mute yourselves and only unmute when you want to contribute. Then at the end we can go back to some "fun" talk.

Hope to see you at 2pm today,
Mr. Quinn
Daily Message: I hope everyone is doing well! I miss seeing all of you and putting on our show. For now this webpage will become a great place for daily communication.
Here are my thoughts going forward.
- We should still be able to produce weekly, if not more, Cougar Connected episodes. Not sure what the focus should include, but I was thinking we could still offer most if not all our regular segments. Of course there could be only one anchor, unless its Macie and Maya. You could film your segments at home and submit them to me using your Office 365 account. I created a "How to..." link on the class main webpage that shows how to upload (share) a large file, such as a video with other people.
- We could ask "Campus Camera" type questions to the student body and have them send in their videos. We would need to ask these questions during the episodes and get responses, edit them and prepare them for the next episode.
- tik tok segment should be easy and fun to do.
- ALSO YEARBOOK pages need to be completed. I will be discussing this later.
- With everyone's help it would be possible to produce several shows a week during these times
- Any and all ideas are welcome and everything right now will be voluntary and NOT mandatory.
* Segment Chart (*Although this is a weekly chart and we may be producing more than one show a week.)
See you during the Zoom meeting.

Create Partners "of 2", Yes partners means two! Two and only 2! This will be your "partner" for the next several weeks.
- Because we have so many students and student that want to work on different segments, we are going to attempt to produce a Cougar Connected XL show each week!
- There will be two PRODUCTION TEAMS that will each produce a show every other week.
- You and your partner will NEED to sign up to complete a segment and have it ready for every other week.
- You and your partner may "work" with other partners to help them complete their segments but not sit around talking with them.
- Check out the job board and be prepared to sign up for a segment. Do NOT sign up for a segment that you are not prepared to complete at a high standard. (The bar has been set by those that have already completed a segment. In other words as good or better then what was done before!)
- Please be prepared to have multiple options, because your first, second, third choice may be taken.
- Note: I reserve the right to assign segments according to those that have shown they can complete a segment at a high standard.
- I will do my best to allow most everyone to attempt all the different segments.
- Also, if you are finished with your segment then you may attempt any open segment in hopes of getting it into a show.
- There is room for 20 min. each week and often we have room or segments are just not getting completed.
- I would really like your segment turned in edited and ready for show in plenty of time to be put together as a full Cougar Connected XL.
- If you have an idea for a segment that is not on the chart then please use an "Idea Pitch Sheet" to present your idea. These sheets are in the wicker bin next to the printer.
- I will assign jobs when I return on Wednesday.
- Wednesday will be "Homeroom Day" and we will be dressing up like NERDS. (Participation shows that you are dedicated to this class and will improve your chances at getting your first or second choice segment) Also note that "complaining or negative talk" will not help your case.
- Please prepare yourself to produce the best segment you can. Research segments like yours! They don't need to have the same topic(s) just similar filming/editing styles.
*******************
SPECIAL NOTE: This week's ANNOUNCEMENT TEAM (Emily, Kaylee F, Maggie) please use SD Card "Black 8" (card is in the camera) and a video camera from my desk: Canon HD VIXIA HF R500. (Just open the screen, push the red button on the back and it should record.)
- Don't forget to use a mic and make sure it's turned on before recording and OFF at the end of recording. Please return all equipment as it was.
*DO NOT MESS AROUND!!!

JAKOB- Use "Red STICK" (not the SD camera card) and locate the Halloween Dance to edit for this Friday's show.
