1. Q.O.D.-Read page 87.  Tell me a minimum of 4 sentences on how British forces and American were different.  Focus on what may have helped them to win the war.

1. Q.O.D.-Name 3 of the natural rights that Thomas Jefferson said all men were entitled to.  Explain each of these in detail each of these 3 rights.  Answer should be a minimum of 3 sentences.

1. Q.O.D.-Read The King's Crimes section on 83.  What types of crimes did the colonists charge King George III with? Was this fair?
2. A Description of the Continental Army worksheet.
3. Students need to read page 84
4. Students will write a 1/3 of a page letter as Abigail Adams.  The letter must stress how she is concerned about her husband in light of everything that is going on in the colonies during the historical period discussed.

1. Q.O.D.-What rumor did George Washington spread?  Name two ways he was able to solve his problem. Ultimately, what did he want to do?
2. Students worked on their Sway projects.

1. Q.O.D.-What happened of Bunker Hill?  Why was this battle significant to the colonists? Did anyone really win?
2. Students and/or teacher read Ticonderoga on page 80.
3. Students watched a short clip on Ticonderoga.
4. Students added problem/solution chart to their table of contents.  Then on this page, they wrote 3 problems and 3 solutions that coincide with one another.
5. Students started working on their Sway projects, some students had to use Microsoft PowerPoint, which outline all of chapter 6.

1. Q.O.D.-Read George Washington and the Continental Army on 80.  Who became in charge of the Continental Army?  Why?
2. Students watched "It's Too Late To Apologize". This is song from modern times turned into a 3 min. song about the colonists feelings toward the British.
3. Students read about the Batttle of Bunker Hill on pg. 80.  They summarized this event and turned it in today.  They also saw a short clip on this by Schmoop.  See You Tube.

1. Q.O.D.-What was the First Continental Congress?  Who were they?  They wanted a few things from King George III. What were those things?  See page 73.
2. Students watched a short clip on the First Continental Congress.
3. Students and/or the teacher read pages 73 to 76 of their textbook.
4. Students watched something on the shot heard around the world from Schoolhouse Rock.
5. Students completed Loyalists and Patriots in the Revolution worksheet (per.4 only)

1. Q.O.D.-Read the Intolerable Acts on 72. What were they?  Why were these acts created?  How did the colonists feel about these acts?
2. Students watched Liberty Kids-The Intolerable Acts
3. Students filled out The Intolerable Acts on the Various Historical Acts page in their journal.

1. Q.O.D.-Reread pages 70-71.  The British tried to sell discount tea to the colonists. Why?  Explain why the colonists were unhappy with their bargain tea.  What did they decide to do?
2. Student worked on opinion paragraph #1.

1. Q.O.D.-What happened during the Boston Massacre?  Who was to blame in your opinion?  Please write 3 to 4 sentences.
2. Students watched "Dump It Off". This was a parody that was related to The Boston Tea Party.
3. Students filled out The Boston Massacre and The Boston Tea Party section of the Various Historical Acts part found in their journals.
4. Students wrote Opinion Paragraph #1 which dealt with whether or not the British soldiers acted in self defense, murder, or both.
5. Students and/or teacher read pages 70- 71 of their textbook.

1. Q.O.D.-What were the Townshend Acts and why were they created?  What did this force colonists to do?
2. Students listened to Townshend Acts Rap (per. 3)
3. Students worked on News and Views article
4. Students read about The Boston Massacre on pages 69-70.  They watched a short clip on this.  Also, we had an open discussion on such topics but not limited to: police brutality, respect for authority, job description of police officers, etc.  Students were able to make comments about things that have or have not shown up in the news as of late.
