I would like to introduce myself, my name is Doug Katona, and I have the privilege of spending the eighth grade school year with your children. My educational background is a BA in History and a Master’s Degree in Education. This is my seventh year  at CLMS and I have worked in several grade levels in the past, but I do prefer the middle school students and curriculum.  My goal is to provide a challenging curriculum that includes higher-level thinking and real world application while delivering it in a fun-filled way. My objectives for the school year are to prepare your students for high school, as well as address the common core standards in line with the expectations of the state of California in both Language Arts and Social Studies.
