1. Q.O.D.-Read Marriage on 58. Discuss what life was like, generally speaking, for both men and women.  Please write at least 3-4 sentences.
2. Students read about The First Great Awakening on 56.
3. Students watched a short clip on The First Great Awakening.
4. Students made a flyer to a religious revival that may have taken place during The First Great Awakening with Office 365.Flyers must contain the following: date of the event, location of the event, a graphic or two of some sort, who will be speaking, and a 3 to 5 sentence description of what will take place.  Focus on what the speaker will speak about.

1. Q.O.D.-Read 55. Besides the fact that slavery is just wrong, what was so horrific about the journey from the Africa across the Atlantic to the colonies?  Why weren't the conditions for slaves better?

1. Q.O.D.-What did the Magna Carta and/or English Bill of Rights guarantee the English people?  How were these pieces of legislation instrumental in paving the way for colonial governments? See page 52 if need be.
2. Students watched a short Prezi presentation on the various social classes in colonial America.
3. Students read page 54 of their textbooks.
4. Students made and filled out the Social Classes in Colonial America chart in their journals.
5. Students were numbered off in order determine their social class for Diary Entry #1. Assignment was briefly started.

1. Q.O.D-Read page 53. Discuss 2 crimes and the punishments that follow them.  Please write 2 to 3 sentences.
2. Students and/or teacher read page 52.
3. Students finished and turned in their Crime and Punishments chart.
4.Students watched Horrible Histories The Magna Carta Song 800 Years ago.
5. Freewrite #1- What was the Magna Carta? How did this pave the way for the English Bill of Rights?  Describe how these two pieces of legislation tied into early colonial governments? You must write a 1/3 to a 1/2 of a page.

1. Q.O.D.-What's wrong with being guilty until proven innocent? As far as being innocent until proven guilty, how is it fair?  Please write at least 2 sentences on each part of the question.
2. Students watched a short clip on 9/11.
3. Teacher showed students a political cartoon DACA.
4. Students glued a map of the 13 original colonies in their journals. Students will be tested on this on Friday.
5. Students started working on their Crime and Punishments chart.

2.  Compare and Contrast Paragraph #2-Tell me how life on farms and cities was both similar and different during colonial times.

1. Q.O.D.-Pick on of the proverbs listed on page 49.  In 3 sentences, tell me what you think it means.
2. Students made a T-chart in their journals.  On one side, it is labeled Life on Farms.  On the other side, it says Life in Cities. Each side has 5 complete sentences about either side.
3. Some students finished their Chp. 3 quiz.
4. Students watched a short clip on life in colonial farms and cities.

 1. Q.O.D.-How did slavery change over time in Virginia? Which cash crop became a popular staple for the colonies?
2. Students watched a short clip on the colony of Georgia.
3. Students and/or teacher read page 46.
4. Students got to do the short answer questions in preparation for the Chp. 3 test tomorrow. In the future, students will not be given time in class to do these. Teacher wanted the students to see the advantage of doing the questions in advance.

2. Students watched a short clip on the founding of the colony of Maryland. (per. 2 only)
3. Students worked on their summary of the beginning of Maryland.
4. Students and/or teacher read about the 2nd colony of Virginia on page 45. (per. 4 and 6 only)
