2. Q.O.D.-Explain the significance of the shot heard round the world. Why was this significant? What did this tell the rest of the world?

4. Students and/or teacher read page 74-75 of their textbooks.

1. Q.O.D.-Read pg. 73. Tell me, in at least 4 sentences, what the colonists did in response to The Intolerable Acts.
2. Students finished Socratic Seminar #1.
3. Students did The Events That Lead Up to the Revolutionary War #2 chart in their journals, independently.
4. Students met up with two other people to be able to fill out the rest of The Events That Lead Up to the Revolutionary War chart #2.

1. Q.O.D.-Read page 72. What sort of response did the British government have to The Boston Tea Party? Was it justified? Why or why not? Please write 3 to 4 sentences.
2. Students watched a parody to The Boston Tea Party.
3. Students worked on a persuasive paragraph on whether or not they felt the British soldiers involved in The Boston Massacre were guilty of murder or not.

2. Some students finished their News and Views assignment.
3. Students read a passage about The Boston Massacre.
4. Students began writing a paragraph on whether or not the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre were guilty of murder.

4. Students watched a Memestory on The Boston Massacre.
5. Teacher explained the News and Views assignment.

1. Q.O.D.-What did the Quartering Act say? Why were the colonists so upset by it?
2. Students watched a short clip off of CNN 10 about Saudi women and their ability to drive. Freewrite #4-Why is allowing women to drive in Saudia Arabia significant?  What does this show the rest of the world about Saudia Arabia?  Should this have happened a long time ago?
3. Students looked at a political cartoon.
4. Teacher explained the News and Views assignment.
5. Teacher and/or students read about The Townshend Acts on pages 68-69. In addition, they saw a rap song about this historical event as well.

1. Q.O.D.-What was the Stamp Act?  Why was it created?  What was the main reason it angered colonists?
2. Students and/or teacher read about The Quartering Act on page 69.
3. Students watched a short clip on The Quartering Act
4. Students, in groups, reported on either The Quartering Act, The Townshend Acts, or The Boston Massacre.
5. News and Views assignments was explained.

1.Q.O.D.-Who were the two groups of people involved in the French and Indian War? What did both groups want?  What was the outcome of the war?
2.Students read page 66.
3. Students saw a short clip on The Proclamation of 1763.
4. Freewrite #3-What was The Proclamation of 1763?  Why didn't this solve the problem between Native Americans and settlers?  Write a 1/3 to 1/2 a page on this topic.
5. Students were numbered off so that they might cover a particular section of The Revolutionary War. (per. 4 only)
6. Students added a table titled Events Leading Up to the Revolutionary War #1 in their journals. (per. 4 only)
7. Students and/or teacher read about The Stamp Act on page 67. (per. 4 only)
8. Students watched a short clip on The Stamp Act (per. 4 only).

1. Q.O.D.-Give two reasons why colonists wanted to remain loyal to England.  Discuss two reasons why colonists would want to be part of England.  Please write a minimum of 4 sentences.
2. Secession Paragraph Obj: Write a paragraph for or against, depending upon on what number you were assigned, separation from England.  Provide evidence for your position.

1. Students watched a short clip on Trump's travel ban
2. Freewrite #2-Is Trump's travel ban on suspected terrorists and/or people associated with them a good thing for Americans? Or is Mr. Trump unnecessarily banning people who are beneficial to the development of this country?  Keep in mind, as of today, Trump added 6 new countries to this list. Write a 1/3 to 1/2 of a page on this topic.
3. Teacher discussed and/or students did an activity on the proper way to do a Socratic Seminar and Philosophical Chairs.
4. Students took notes on both sides of the Revolutionary War.
5. Students were assigned a particular stance to the Revolutionary War. Additionally, the Secession Paragraph assignment was explained.

3. Students read page 59.  They made a section in their journal titled Colonial Leisure chart.  Please see teacher for specific instructions.
4. Teacher read Education section on 57.
5. Students read Food section on page 60.  They made a section titled Colonial Menu. Please see teacher for specific instructions.
6. Students had some time to finish their Great Awakening Flyers.
