3. Students started working on vocab. sentences #10, which basically has students use of the words from "The Million Pound Bank Note" in a way that shows the teacher they understand the meaning of the words.

2. Students answered Think it Through questions, 1 to 3, on page 157 in the Bridges to Literature series. Seeing as students don't have a copy of this book, they'll need to come in at break or lunch to make up this assignment.

4. Freewrite #1- Is the love of money the root of all evil? Please write 4 to 5 sentences on this topic. A few students discussed what they wrote.

1. Thursday's DLR for Week 24
2. FFA Vocab. test (If you were in the basketball tournament, you must come in at lunch or break tom. to make up this test for full credit.)
3. Make a table of contents page titled Reasons For or Against Surgery. Make 3 columns. In the first column write reason, in the second column write Evidence, and in the third column write the word Explanation. All 3 sections should have the numbers 1 to 3 written in them. Basically, you next essay topic will be whether or not Charlie, from FFA, should have had the surgery or not. This essay may only be one sided. I would start with the evidence section, which must be 2-3 sentences long each. Go through the story and find evidence that shows why Charlie should or shouldn't have had the surgery based on your stance. Then, give a reason why Charlie should or shouldn't have had the surgery based on your evidence. This part may be 1 sentence long.  Lastly, give 2-3 sentences that explains the evidence that you gave.  Keep in mind that the reason, evidence, and explanation part of the Reasons For or Against Surgery chart should all be connected.
4. Teacher collected questions 5 and 6 for Text Dependent Question #6 assignment. If you were at the basketball tournament, this must be turned in by tom. Mar. 2nd for full credit. (per. 1 only)

3. Persuasive Paragraph #3-Some people say ,"Ignorance is Bliss". In other words, at times, the less you know the better. If you could, would you want to know how all people truly feel about you? Or would you prefer to be kept in the dark in regards to peoples' feelings towards you? In a 6 sentence paragraph, write about this topic.
