3. Students answered 3 questions about chapters 1-3. 1. How did you feel when Manuel sold the dog? Why? 2. What does the man in the red sweater teach Buck? Why is this an important lesson for him to learn?
3. What do Francois and Perrault expect of their dogs? Why do they admire Buck?

2. Browns + Greens=Compost reading comprehension
3. Character Development Paragraph Obj:  In many stories, the goal of the character is to improve their behavior in some way. Once Buck learns to steal food, his moral decay has begun. It is necessary or vital for Buck's survival. In a a paragraph, explain what the author means. Do you agree with the narrator? Why or why not?
4. Teacher discussed the results of the last essay with some students.
