1. Q.O.D.-What is your favorite thing about history? Why? Please write 2-3 sentences.
2. In groups of 3, students, individually, reported to two other people about a geographical section of the 13 colonies.
3. Students and teacher read page 38.
4. Students added a section titled New England Colonies Origins in their Table of Contents to their SS journal. This contained 3 sections: Colony, Founder, and Reason Founded (2-3 sentences long).  Also the following four colonies that were listed are: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. We watched the following podcasthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ScZh2-QLOE and were able to fill out the chart for Massachusetts only.

1. Q.O.D.-What is your least favorite thing about history? Why? Please write 2-3 sentences on this topic.
2. Students glued a copy of a map that contained the original colonies in their journals. Additionally, the labeled the following 3 sections of this map: The New England Colonies, The Middle Colonies, and The Southern Colonies. This was labeled as Map of 13 Colonies in their Table of Contents in their SS journals.
3. Students created the heading Description of the 13 Colonies in the Table of Contents in their SS journal. Additionally, they set this up in their journals. Students were numbered off so that they know which section they will be responsible for. (per. 2 only)

1. Students watched the 08/28/18 edition of CNN 10 and filled out the 5W's sheet to got with it.
2. Some students performed their Pay It Forward speeches.

08/22/18

1. Students watched 08-22-18 edition of CNN 10 and/or recorded the 5 W's on each of the 3 stories.
2. We set up the Table of Contents page for both the LA and SS journal.
3. Some students did their Pay It Forward Speeches.
4. Some students got their Pay It Forward paragraphs back and received input from the teacher.
