1. Q.O.D.-Who makes up the U.N.? What types of things does this organization take responsibility for? Please write 3-4 sentences.
2. Students wrote the Social Class Chart in their journals. Basically, it is titled Social Class Chart. There are four categories: wealthy, middle class, the lower class, and indentured servants/slaves. Each section has 3 bullets in it. After each bullet, jot down ideas that show what life was life for each particular social group, after watching the following videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isfTRJW0ULE and looking at page 54.
3. Students were numbered off for an upcoming assignment which is tomorrow.

1. For period 2, we continued with LA assignments for about 15 minutes or so.
2. Compare and Contrast Paragraph #1 While student were working on this, the teacher discussed the results, individually, of the last paragraph that students wrote.

3. Students watched part of a short clip that addressed the differences and similarities of living in a farm versus a city during colonial times. 4. Students started working on Compare and Contrast Paragraph #1 Obj: Compare and contrast life in cities versus life on farms during colonial times. Focus on how living in these places was both similar and different.

1. Q.O.D.-Who founded the colony of Virginia? Why was it founded primarily? What horrible practice came from its' founding?
2. Students watched 09-11-18 edition of CNN 10https://www.cnn.com/cnn10 Addi tonally, the worked on CNN 10 Notes #4 to go with this.
3. Lastly, students worked on completing the ABC's of the Colonies Chart. If you were absent, please see the teacher for specific instructions on this.

1. Q.O.D.-When George Calvert set up the colony of Maryland, what was his goal? Give 2 reasons for his goal. Please write 3-4 sentences.
2. Students read page 46.
3. In groups of 4, students summarized why the colony of Georgia was founded and what were some of the reasons for its' creation.
3. Students watched part of the Southern Colonies Originshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3KAOWye1AM. From this, they filled in the rest of the Southern Colonies Origins Chart which is found in their journals.

1. Q.O.D.-Who founded Pennsylvania? Give 2 reasons why Pennsylvania was founded. Please write 3-4 sentences.

Students added the title Southern Colonies Origins Chart to their Table of Contents.  There are 3 columns which are: Colony, Founder, and the Reason Founded(Which needs to be 2-3 sentences long).  We were able to fill out this chart for Maryland.  Please see the following video for assistancehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3KAOWye1AM
3. Students read page 44 in their textbooks.  With this, they must summarize what type of government George Calvert attempted to create. This summary should include 1 main idea and 3-4 supporting details.

They also took notes on each of the 2 stories in the 5W's format
2. Student added the Middle Colonies Origins Chart to their journals. Basically, you make 3 columns. In the first section you write the word colony. In the second section, write the word founder.  In the last section write the word reasons founded. Students need to write two to three sentences in the last section. 3. Students set up the ABC's of the Colonies Chart. Students worked on letters A to I. A to C goes with Massachussetts.  D and E go with Conneticut. E and G go with New Hampshire and H and I go with Rhode Island. Basically, students were responsible for writing complete sentences, that start with the letters given, about each individual state.
