4. Students began working on chapters 13-14 questions for the book listed. If they didn't finish this in class, it is homework.

2. Students finished Context Clues 1.1
3. Writing Descriptive Sentences. Students had to pick 3 to write about. Each description should be a 3-4 sentence min. You must use lots of adjectives in your description of the pictures you chose.
4. Students went to the following website
They made a chart with 3 columns. It was titled Dealing with the Loss of a Loved One. Each column was numbered 1 to 5. The first column is labeled Name of Strategy. The second column is labeled Definition and the third column is labled How it is helpful. Students must write 1 to 3 sentences in the How It Is Helpful section.

3. Freewrite #1 Obj: Tell, in a freewrite format which is a 1/3 to 1/2 of a page, about a competition you entered at some point in your life. Did you win or lose? What did you learn from the situation? What do you remember most?
4. In groups of 4, students read chapter 4 of A Day No Pigs Would Die.

2. Student took a vocab. quiz on chapters 5-8 of A Day No Pigs Would Die. If you were absent, you'll need to come in at lunch or break to make it up.
3. Some students, in a small group instruction setting, worked on rewriting their paragraphs from yesterday.
4. The rest of my class worked on Valuable Advice Chart. Basically, students wrote this title in their Table of Contents. Then, they made a T-chart which was numbered from 1 to 3 on both sides. On the the left hand side, which was titled Advice Given, they wrote down 3 pieces of advice that were helpful to them. On the right, which was titled How It Was Helpful, they wrote down how the advice they received was beneficial. Advice Given should be 1-2 sentences. The How It Was Helpful section must be 2-3 sentences.

2. Students took a quiz on chapter 6 of A Day No Pigs Would Die
3. Teacher explained the format for the Toughest Subject Paragraph. Obj: Tell me about your most difficult subject. What did you do do to make this area more understandable, or what can you do in order to be more successful in this area?
4. Teacher showed students a model of a paragraph based on topic in #3.
5. Students began reading chapter 7 of A Day No Pigs Would Die. They need to finish this for homework if it is not finished in class.

2. Teacher discussed the results of Compare and Contrast Paragraph #1 with students.
3. Students read chapters 5-6 of A Day No Pigs Would Die
4. Students took the chp. 4 quiz for A Day No Pigs Would Die. If you were absent, you'll need to make this up at lunch or break.

2. Teacher explained all of the homework for the week.
3. Students worked on Compare and Contrast Paragraph #1 Obj: Compare and contrast the types of chores that kids do in 2 of the areas discussed, urban, rural, or suburban. Show hoe the task that the children do are both different and similar.
4. Students completed the Chores section in their notebooks. (per. 4 only)
