3. Students summarized a difficult decision that they have made in their life that had a positive outcome. Additionally, they provided reasons for why they were pleased with how this event turned out.

2. Students, in groups, finished presenting on their questions regarding the language of a country and the benefits of knowing it.
3. Students took notes on the parts of a paragraph. Additionally, we broke apart a paragraph.
4. Students also glued a sheet into their journals that showed them transition words and when to use them.

3. Students, in groups, answered four questions regarding speaking the dominant language of an area. One student, from each group, presented their findings to the class. This will be finished tomorrow.

4. Students finished reading pages 43 to 46 and they completed Citing Text Evidence #1 in their journals.
5. Teacher and students read pages 47-48 of "A Place To Call Home".
6. Students were placed in groups of 4 and were asked to work to Language Questions Group Work.
