1. Q.O.D.-What was the economy of the North based on?  How was this different from the South? Please read 257 to 259. Stop at Transportation in the North. 4 sentences, please.
2. Students watched a short clip on the Economy of the North Pre-Civil War.
3. Students did Postcard#1 Obj: Do a postcard as if you are someone who visited the South and are from the North, or vice versa. Discuss what you saw and/or witnessed on your visit.

3. Jigsaw Activity #2 Basically, in groups of 4, students, individually, looked at one of the 4 articles about lying. Students were responsible for finding a thesis statement and 3 pieces of evidence (direct quotes). The direct quotes need to be directly tied into the thesis statement.

2. In the "When Is Lying Ok?" packet, students did Activity #3, questions 3 and 5, for Article #2
3. Students added Jigsaw Activity #1 activity to their journals. Students were responsible for reading a part of Article #3 in the "When Is Lying Ok" packet. Then, they needed to report back to 3 others on what they found.
