2. We finished reading "from Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas an American Slave".
3. Students worked on questions 3 and 4 for Citing Text Evidence Chart #5. 3. Reread lines 84-92. Explain what happens as result of the dialogue. Why was the dialogue so interesting and what effect did it have on him? 4. Reread lines 112-120. Explain what Douglas believed his ability to read had caused.

4. Students worked on Citing Text Evidence Chart #5. Basically, there are 3 columns. They are labeled as follows: Question, Evidence, and Answer. Today, we worked on 2 questions. 1. Reread lines 14-41. Explain Douglas's purpose in devoting so much space in his autobiography to describing his connection to the woman. 2. Reread lines 49-76. Cite evidence that shows the attitude of the white boys. How are the attitudes similar to or different from the attitudes of the master and mistress? (We will do this tomorrow.

1. Q.O.D.#9-See the Foundations of the American Economy section on page 184. Discuss the different ideologies of both A. Hamilton and T. Jefferson's vision of the American economy. Specifically, focus  on the different vision of both men. Responses should be 5-6 sentences long.
2.Some students read their Washington Defends Neutrality Speeches.

2. Freewrite #3-Obj: In a 1/3 to 1/2 of a page, discuss the assumptions people make about Henry when they see his shabby clothes and how those assumptions change when they see his million pound note. What conclusions can be drawn about how the appearance of wealth affect our judgement?
3. Students worked on Persuasive Essay #1 Graphic Organizer. You'll need to see the teacher at lunch or break for the format if you were absent. Half of this needed to be finished in class.
