3. Students read pages 573 and part of 574 of "The Million Pound Bank Note". We got to Cockney's first line, in the second column, of page 574. (per. 1) Students got to the first column, the 4th thing that Hastings said, on page 574. (per. 4)

3. Students used the following 7 words: proposition, conceive, competent, rebuke, eccentric, benefactor, and shrewd in sentences that show me they understand the meaning of them.

1. Students took the full story quiz for "The Diary of Anne Frank". You'll need to stop by at lunch or break to make this up if you were absent today.
2. We brainstormed the advantages and disadvantages of being a successful public speaker.
3. Students watched a clip on how to speaking publicly successfully.
4. Students need to work on My Partner's Fictional Life Speech
Obj: Create a 3 paragraph speech that describes the fictional life of your partner. The more outrageous it is, the better it will sound. Please, don't include anything that is inappropriate.

2. We read scenes 4 and 5 of Act 2 of "The Diary of Anne Frank".
3. Students answered two questions in pairs. 1. How would Anne have finished her last sentence in scene 4? Would she have wanted to publish her diary? Why or why not? 2. If Anne did publish her diary diary do you think she would have made some changes to her original draft? Explain.

2. Students finished working on and we discussed Comparing Peter and Anne Chart.
3. Compare and Contrast Paragraph #3 Obj: Show how Peter and Annes' feelings for each other have changed over time as well as stayed the same. Provide reasons to support the similarities and differences.
4. We read 341-343 of "The Diary of Anne Frank".
5. Students worked on The Consequence Chart.

3. Students read the rest of Scene 2 Act 2 of The Diary of Anne Frank.
4. Students made the Comparing Anne and Peter Chart. They began working on this in pairs. Please see the teacher at lunch or break for the format of this.

1. Students did Wednesday and  Thursday's DLR for Week 17.
2. Students read 325-327.(per. 1 only)
3. Students added another entry to Conflict Chart #1. (per. 1 only)
4. We read pages 328-330 of "The Diary of Anne Frank".
5. Students copied down Citing down Citing Text Evidence Chart #4. Only questions 1 and 2 were copied down. 1. Reread  lines 145-200 to determine the characters' traits. What does the dialogue about cutting the cake reveal about Mrs. Frank? Mr. Frank? the Van Daans? 2. Reread lines 350-380. What problem does Mr. Kraler describe to the group? How does this dialogue move the plot forward to provoke a decision?
6. Students worked on questions listed under #5 (per. 4 only).
