Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Canyon Lake Middle School! I am thrilled to introduce you to our videography class, where we produce the weekly entertainment show, Cougar Connected. Our goal is to keep the school community connected and informed through engaging and creative content.
Getting to Know Mr. Quinn
My name is Mr. Joseph Quinn, and I am excited to begin another fantastic year with you. This marks my 29th year as a teacher and my 23rd year at Canyon Lake Middle School (CLMS). I have been part of the CLMS family since it opened its doors in 2002. Initially, I taught 6th-grade math and science for 17 years before transitioning to teach computer science, videography, and yearbook in 2019.
On a personal note, I live in Canyon Lake with my wife, Linda, and our two daughters, Ally and Tori. Both of my daughters attended CLMS and were very active in school activities. My oldest daughter, Ally, recently graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in mathematics and aspires to become a high school math teacher. My youngest daughter, Tori, is a sophomore at NAU, studying health sciences.
My wife, Linda, has been a dedicated claims representative for Farmers Insurance for the past 32 years. Outside the classroom, I enjoy outdoor activities such as motocross, e-mountain biking, surfing, and water-skiing. We also spend quality time at our condo in Mammoth Lakes, where we enjoy snowboarding, skiing, hiking, and the natural beauty of the area.
I am here to support you on your academic journey. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns at
[email protected] or by cell/text at (909) 576-2025. I accept text messages and phone calls from both parents and students, but please keep text messages limited to simple questions or concerns.
Let's make this school year memorable and successful together. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth!
Sincerely,
Mr. Joseph Quinn
